Our youth program aims to introduce young boys and girls to the sport of volleyball. The program uses a variety of volleyball-like games, tailored to each age group, which will help athletes build confidence while learning basic volleyball skills. The goal is not just to teach fundamentals, but to give boys and girls the opportunity to play, experiment, and ultimately learn how to compete.
The program is offered for 3 different age groups; boys and girls in grades K-2, 3-5, and (new this year) grade 6 preparation for middle school JV tryouts. Proper gym attire (shorts/leggings, t-shirt, gym shoes) is mandatory, and it is recommended that each athlete bring a full water bottle. There will be a guaranteed athlete-to-coach ratio of 5:1, to ensure each athlete is given ample feedback and attention.
Grade 6 prep - Unlike the other groups, Grade 6 prep will focus almost entirely on the basic skills that will make your son or daughter stand out at their upcoming tryouts. Athletes will be given a high volume of individual feedback, and in turn are expected to work hard. Knee pads are mandatory for this group.
