18U Female Apex

•Carney is entering his 17th season as a club coach, spending his entire coaching career with the Tommies and Spartans organizations. He is also a staple as a coach for the VNB Elite Program and Canada Cup. 

•He is a teacher at Leo Hayes High School, Carney also coaches the JV Girls volleyball team and is passionate about helping athletes develop both on and off the court.

•Carney creates a calm, supportive environment where athletes feel comfortable taking risks, building confidence, and reaching their full potential.

•Josh has been involved in volleyball as both a player and coach for over 20 years and is entering his fifth season with Spartans Volleyball Club.

•Josh is a trained Volleyball Canada Development Coach and has coached high school volleyball for eight seasons and helped lead the 15U Apex team to a Gold Medal at the 2026 Elites of the East.

•Josh enjoys teaching the technical aspects of the game, helping athletes build the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to compete at the next level.

•Lauren (AKA ROLO) is originally from Victoria, BC, and moved east to play volleyball at UNB while completing a Psych. Degree.

•She is a former BC Provincial MVP who played at Capilano University before transferring to UNB, bringing extensive club and university experience.

•She will be a great addition to 18U Apex as she brings an energetic, supportive, and process-oriented coaching style focused on helping athletes develop their skills, confidence, and competitive mindset.
